Covers buying, selling, renting out or inheriting property in Romania, together with the tax and registration steps that follow. Typical users are non-residents who own or are about to own a Romanian property and cannot deal with the notary, the land registry and the local tax office in person. Also used by diaspora owners who need to sell or let a property they have not visited in years. Notarial acts are performed by a public notary; we prepare the file and represent the client through it.

Covers registration with the Romanian tax authority and the certificates a person or a company needs to prove their tax position. Typical users are foreign individuals with no Romanian personal numeric code who need a tax identification number, and people who have moved to Romania and must settle their residency status. Also used by anyone who has to prove to a foreign authority where they are taxed. Contentious tax matters before the courts are handled by independent collaborating lawyers.

Covers Romanian official records: birth, marriage and death certificates, criminal record certificates, transcription of foreign records, correction of wrong entries, and the authorised translation and apostille that make a document usable abroad. Typical users are people who need a Romanian document for a file opened in another country, or a foreign document accepted in Romania. Almost every request arrives with a deadline set by someone else.

Covers the right to enter, stay and settle in Romania, and the recognition of Romanian citizenship by descent. Typical users are non-EU nationals who need a long stay visa or a residence permit, EU nationals registering their stay, and descendants of Romanian citizens applying for citizenship to the second or third degree. Also used by employers moving staff to Romania. This is the area where the rules changed most in the last two years, and where out of date information costs the most.

Covers family status that has to work across two countries, and succession to Romanian assets. In practice most files here are the recognition in Romania of a foreign divorce or family judgment, the enforcement of maintenance obligations across borders, and name and status annotations on Romanian records. Succession to Romanian property, bank accounts or shares is handled together with a public notary, who issues the certificate of inheritance. Time limits apply to succession, so these files are rarely urgent by choice.

Covers Romanian pension entitlements and contribution records, including periods worked in Romania that count towards a pension paid elsewhere. Typical users are people who worked in Romania before emigrating and need their record certified, and pensioners abroad who must obtain or update a pension decision. Scope here is deliberately narrow: correspondence and files with the county pension houses, not pension litigation.
