Before you start, check

  • The applicant is a natural person and does not hold a Romanian CNP.
  • There is a documented reason for the request: employment contract, property title, notarial deed, company registration, bank account, vehicle registration or similar.
  • Valid passport, or national identity document for EU citizens.
  • Third country nationals outside the EEA and outside a qualifying cooperation treaty must appoint a representative with fiscal domicile in Romania (art. 18 para. 4 Law 207/2015). EU and EEA residents are exempt from that requirement (art. 18 para. 5).
